Unlocking the Necessary Power-Up

Without this intangible ability, reaching the hidden room behind the Boo portrait is completely impossible. To defeat Big Mr. I, players must sprint quickly in full circles around the creature. Doing so forces the eye to spin rapidly as it attempts to track player movement until it grows dizzy. After a few complete loops, the creature dissolves and reveals the stage's sixth Power Star.
