Borderlands 3 Tazendeer Ruins Challenges And Completion Tips

1 October 2026 | 106

Tazendeer Ruins is one of the most atmospheric regions located on the planet Nekrotafeyo in Borderlands 3. Navigating its dense vegetation and ancient Eridian structures can be tricky for players looking to achieve total map completion. Understanding where each Crew Challenge is hidden allows Vault Hunters to efficiently clear the zone without backtracking.

Finding Dead Claptraps and Salvage Parts

The Tazendeer Ruins map contains two Dead Claptrap units that yield valuable salvage components when discovered. The first unit is located near the central overgrown paths, tucked away in an offbeat corner. Finding these parts contributes directly to Claptrap's personal project while granting bonus experience.

To locate the second Dead Claptrap, players must venture toward the northern area known as The Last House. Near a scenic waterfall structure, players can drop down to lower ledge platforms to salvage the second unit. Paying close attention to verticality makes finding this hidden collectible much easier.

Tracking Down Typhon Logs and the Dead Drop

Typhon DeLeon left three audio logs hidden throughout the Tazendeer Ruins for Vault Hunters to discover. Finding all three logs unveils lore about Nekrotafeyo and unlocks the region's Typhon Dead Drop cache. These logs are spread across the major transit paths and ancient temples in the zone.

The final Typhon Log sits near the temple entrance leading toward the vault area at the end of the map. Once all three entries are recorded, Tannis decrypts the coordinates for the hidden loot chest. Opening this cache provides high-tier weapons and gear suitable for late-game combat.

Overcoming the Crimson Radio Tower Challenge

Broadcast towers are key side objectives that require a bit of platforming skill to sabotage. The Crimson Radio station in Tazendeer Ruins is protected behind a forcefield barrier. Players cannot simply walk up to the terminal without finding an alternative route.

To disable the broadcast, players must navigate to the right side of the shielded building and drop down underneath the structure. Climbing up through the rear walkways allows Vault Hunters to reach the control panel successfully. Completing this challenge hands control of the airwaves back to the Crimson Raiders.

Defeating Target of Opportunity and Named Enemies

Tazendeer Ruins houses formidable mini-boss encounters, including Zer0's Target of Opportunity. Defeating Sylestro and Atomic in this region tests your elemental combat strategies. Equipping weapons with shock and corrosive damage will help strip shields and armor quickly.

Additionally, the zone is densely populated with Guardians and Nekrobugs, making it an ideal area for completing daily activity objectives. Combining enemy hunts with exploration saves considerable time during your playthrough. Thoroughly checking every corner ensures you leave no challenge unfulfilled.
